Geopolitics & Foreign Affairs

  • The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board offers strong praise for the President’s bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities. This is thought provoking because the praise by the Journal of this Trump administration has been very sparse this presidency.
  • “Trump Meets the Moment on Iran”. “The WSJ continues President Trump’s decision to strike Iran’s three most significant nuclear sites on Saturday helped rid the world of a grave nuclear threat and was a large step toward restoring U.S. deterrence. It also creates an opportunity for a more peaceful Middle East, if the nations of the region will seize it.
  • P.S. I am not necessarily a fan of regime change when it comes to foreign governments. Yet sometimes it may be needed. I can tell you that the peaceful regime change we had at our golf club has gone well. The dining room has been upgraded, people are playing pickle again with normal raquets and everyone but the biggest hitters can use the driving range fully. There is a time and a place for regime change apparently. This was done without any bunker busting bombs, a true testament to great transitions in power. And to democracy. Past leadership is in exile in Ireland. Like Napoleon on the island of St Helena. The past leader is one of my favorite people ever and a great business leader and a phenomenal athlete. By contrast, it’s assumed that the Ayatollah can hardly ever hit a green in regulation, his GIR stats are awful. Our past president’s stats are great.
