13. We recently joined the board of National Medical Fellowships, Inc. and joined my first board meeting and made my first real financial contribution.
We face in our nation a daunting shortage of doctors and nurses. NMF does an incredible job of promoting and supporting financially and emotionally the needs of emerging doctors of color to go to medical school and to help support them. It also embraces the overall message that we need more doctors.
We were inspired yesterday by the discussion with a young doctor Dr Lauren Edwards who has received support from NMF and Johnson and johnson
and now matched for residency at Mass General Brigham Harvard. She is an MD and i believe a PhD. Incredible.
The need for more doctors and for more doctors of color is becoming more acute. Brilliant leadership by CEO Michellene Davis, Esq., and Chairman Jon Corzine and a whole lot more.
To learn more about National Medical Fellowships, Inc. please reach Michellene or myself and I’ll connect you to Michellene and her team.
